There is a Facebook site that is very good at id of mushrooms. I have learned a lot from that site. If you are a facebooker let me know and I will get thr name of the group. Unfortunately I'm not on Facebook. I feel that I spend enough time on the computer as it is with the different forums and e-mails.

This is the only message board that i routinely check anymore. I spend probably less time on the net than I used to but most of it is on facebook browsing specific groups. It is about the same but one stop shopping these days.

I found 2 dried up hen-of-the-woods today and one that was fresh. I'll be back tomorrow prepared to bring some home. I wanted to get out and look last week but didn't have the time. Tomorrow I'm making the time. The good one that I found today was probably 15-20 pounds.

O.K. I was wrong about that Hen-of-the-woods. I had to cut it in a couple of pieces to get it out of the ground. It weighed 32 pounds. I'll be cleaning and slicing the rest of the evening.
