I found this vehicle while driving through Kingsbury this evening... Stopped and asked him while he was on his way out of the woods at 45 mins till dark,,, "do you know Matt?"... He said No,, I know Kevin,,, What's the deal here,, anyone can get these sticker's?  ?   |

Come on pigeon....You don't think most of the pro-staffers get to put that in the signature line just because they can kill a bird or blow a call well. They pay for it with either hard work or their hard earned cash.

Pigeon, just so you know that kid EARNED the right to put that on his vehicle. He doesn't even waterfowl hunt but his job has him in the sticks all the time and he keeps me informed of movements on some of my properties. So to answer your question not everybody can have them. I'm glad that you did not take his pic because it almost sounded like you were going to make fun of him. Not a very friendly thing to do considering that we're all supposed to be on the same side.

Yep,, that was me... Was sippin grandpa's cough medice the night before,, and was late getting there.....
I seem to remember hearing some comments from your boat also??? Hmm...
What was the final score for each boat that day?? Remember the 2 geese?

Just checked my GPS,, but dont have it in there.. But I am guessing it was close to 200 yards... Usually this area has 3-6 groups hunting it during regular season....I have seen 4 groups across the front lines here and squezzed into the middle...
We strolled in right before shooting and set up a quick spread.... I was hung over like no tomorow... Noticed we had a boat in the area,, but I like the competion.... And JR said HECK YA to competing also.... I love hunting that area when there is multiple groups there,, someone always leaves mad!

Let me refresh your memory on the 2 geese,, they circled twice and the KID busted 1,, the other circled 3 more times around US as I was blowing my cheapo PRIMOS tube.... On the 3rd circle,, it got just a bit to close to your boat,, and someone said'' we aint gonna let them have it" BOOM !!!! Then off flew the goose!
My KID ended with 4 mallards, 1 woodie and 1 goose... should have been 2

Let's just put this one to rest guys. Pigeon, I think you ruffled some feathers that were probably better just left to yourself.... We work closely with Kevin up at River City Outfitters, and he has gone out of his way to accomodate us and been very gracious to allow us to hunt his grounds and film, and I truly appreciate his commitment and investment to what we are trying to accomplish!! You will never hear me speak ill of another guide service or what they are trying to accomplish, even if in competition with what we might be doing. To each their own and I wish them success on what they are trying to accomplish, I would never undercut another service or dig at them, which really in my honest opinion is what this thread has been about. The Celebrity Goose Hunt is not easy to accomplish and will cost money, but like stated you get what you pay for!!! This is not your run of the mill guided hunt, this is more about the opportunity to hunt with these kind of guys in the industry, and very limited opportunities to do that!!! So good luck with your season Pigeon, and I hope you have a great one, and we will continue forward with what we are trying to accomplish as well! |
