That the weather prediction is wrong.
With all the snow we have and with most of the rivers and creeks are still covered with ice this could get ugly.
I have been bracing for this since Sunday.

Next week we are calling for single digits at night, teens days after all this melts, so I am with you buddy.

LAST NIGHT they had forecast a -1 at night in a week. 8 degrees forecast now. Argh

I need for this winter to end. A fixed income budget and such high over head does not equal "having a good time" for me, LOL

The colder it gets, the more I have to stay here lacking funds to run about. Once in awhile is doable. Life does that sometimes.

3-4 months of it and dang.

More worried about my boys and their family having to drive in this crap. It's going to be a skating rink out there early next week. The youngest already totaled one of his two vehicles this winter.

Thankfully he wasn't hurt but.....he STILL drives to fast and "Dad is just a worry wart"

Those complaining about all the snow are going to wish it had stayed, as much as we all hated it having it for such a long period.

Yesterday was our 49th anniversary. Wife and I had been discussing how long this winter seemed to be hanging on a day or two before.

Yesterday she mentioned that we had the same temps and same weather on the day after our wedding 49 years ago. Sunny, stuff thawing out, mild. We took a pleasant walk that day in McCormick's Creek SP, where we had spent our one-night honeymoon. I only had my dress shoes with me, and stepped into a couple places where the wet snow was deeper than my shoes.

I reminisced with her about what a nice day that was for a minute, then reminded her that we were snowed in for several days the next week watching the snow drift up around the little rental house in the country where we began our married life. That was kinda nice, too, but we were both working and didn't have two nickels to rub together, so we really couldn't afford to extend the honeymoon any longer than necessary.

Nope, it ain't over. Wasn't 49 years ago, either.

Well, I WAS typing how it was really nasty thunder and lightening at 7:00am, when our power went out! I was saying, how do I know, because our 3yo woke us up and said so! He asked why was it storming since it is cold outside? I told him the weather sure is weird and his great grandma says that when it thunders the Angels are bowling in Heaven! Made him think a little bit, and then came the other 49 questions to follow. So I made a quick breakfast, the thunder finally let up, and back to sleep we went.
