The kind of advertisers who would pull or threaten to pull their advertisements if Phil was left on the show would. Its all about the money. You give too much credit to the social aspect of companies. My feeling is they care not a whit about social issues as long as it does not affect their bottom line. The more viewers on a show the more the advertisers have to pay... If ratings or viewers drop in DD then the advertising dollars will also dry up.. "Its all about the money."

If ratings drop in DD A&E tries to attract their liberal leaning companies to advertise on their other shows by saying how they did the right thing and got rid of Phil right away.
I am not saying additional advertising dollars will pour into DD if the ratings drop.
Ratings are likely to go up on DD .... at least in the very short term.

I believe i read some where that the show's ratings droped a little this past season . I believe A&E actually did a good job on what they did to Phil , as it was just mentioned this could make ratings jump up on short term , just enough to make one last season or finish one last season . ALL phil would have to do is go back making Duck Commander on the outdoor channel and bring in the cast , which is where Duck Dynasty originated from in the first place .

It opened with something like 11.8M viewers .... highest rated show ever for A&E.
Highest non fiction show ever. Any network.

The next season has already been filmed, with Phil. So it will be what, 2015 before the show airs without Phil?

I think the Robinson's have made a ton of money allready , so A & E dropping the show is no sweat of the families back. Phil spoke his mind. (Nothing wrong with that. I will bet the Robinson family win's in the end. IT WILL COST A&E MORE IN LOST VIEWER'S THAN LOST ADVERTISER'S IMO. As there are alot of REDNECK'S out there and we tend to stick together.

They either turned it off because they got too much negative emails or messages or the server is overloaded with negative comments. I went to A&E's facebook page and make my displeasure known to them directly. There were thousands if not millions of negative comments on the A&E facebook page about this issue with Phil. Hmmm... I click on that email address and get an "invalid address" .. maybe they turned it off?

Phil is no dummy. He has a BS degree from Lousiana State where he went to college on a full ride foot ball scholarchip and he's got his Master in Education. He taught school before he went into the duck call making business back in the early to mid 1970s. Check out his family history on the Robertson's web site.
All the boys have college degrees and are all very smart and Rich. They could leave Duck Dynasty today and never look back and still be better off than 90% of the rest of us.
I still think that A&E shot themselves in the foot by making this such a big deal. A&E will come out the loser in this deal.

The liberals have been walking all over good God fearing people for the past few years. I believe this may have awakened a sleeping giant. This could be the first battle in a war that has needed fighting for some time. Amazing how it takes a humerous reality show to get good people to stand up for their rights.
