I was going to hunt with my suppressed 300 AAC Blackout pistol pictured above, but I took a buck with my bow and gave my scope funds to the taxidermist for a shoulder mount. LOL! I'll loan you a scope.

Great question? I will probably take the Savage MLII,But would also like to have that repeat shot of the 870, Heck is there any reason why you can't take both? I have never seen where you can only take 1 gun. Or if there is a law I have never read it.

You can carry two weapons. I carry my hand cannon and lever gun most of the time.

I have never seen where you can only take 1 gun. Or if there is a law I have never read it. If I hunt, I'll take my 12 and 20ga. I think it depends on what season it is. I'm thinking that if it's just bow season, one can't take a firearm too. I don't know that rule, and the CO wouldn't answer my question on this site. When I squirrel hunted and deer hunted, I would leave my 20ga in the truck or in a blind that I wasn't hunting deer from.

I'll loan you a scope. Thanks for the very thoughtful offer, but hopefully I'll only need to use the muzzleloader one or two days this weekend. I'm going to try to get my brother a couple of does for his freezer and call it a year, as far as my regular state hunting goes. I'm hunting at Big Oaks the middle weekend of firearms season, and my buddy that is hunting with me is loaning me a .458 SOCOM (he owns two of them).

I'll take my TC Impact 50 cal, unscoped. I don't know if I will shoot anything. Since I have tagged my buck and my daughter has a doe in the freezer, that's about all the deer meat my little family will eat. My wife and daughter can still take a buck. If I decide to take a doe, it will be donated to FHFH.
I would like to take a deer with a muzzleloader though. Believe it or not, I've never killed a deer with one. The only game Ive taken with a muzzleloader has been a fox and a coyote. I've always been a shotgun guy and I've usually been done before muzzy season opened.

going to try out the 358 hoosier this year on a savage platform. also have one for a t/c pro hunter if i get a chance to sight it in before i need to use it. after a few days with a new gun if i need a luck changer i will pick up the ole marlin 44 mag, the deer seem to want to get shot with that. always changes my luck when its in my hands.

Ruger #1 in 460 S&W is the main weapon. Backup's are a 45/70 w/trimmed down casing (probably loaning to a friend hunting with me), and if I can get one of my kids motivated to hunt, a Rossi 45LC 1892. I'll also carry a Blackhawk in 45LC if a deer get's too close.

You kill me, Dennis. LOL! I wish I were rich. It looks like I'm going to be losing $10K a year at work from here on out, my wife lost her health insurance through my employer so I have to pay her doctor bills 100% out of pocket (she has a $500 appointment tomorrow), my electric bills will be close to $400/mo for the next three months or so, etc. I get headaches and nighttime dizziness from the stress. I'm ready to kill a few does this weekend and perhaps a buck at Big Oaks! LOL!
