Hello guys, I don't post much but enjoy the site and reading the stories. I've recently read a lot of complaints about the WGI cameras. I've had 2 IR4s with a mfr date of 0802 that I have used for several years (can't remember when I actually got them). They have stayed out all year twice and 4-6 months the other years. I've never had a problem with them...until now after reading all the complaints. The camera was off when I went to check it. Replaced the batteries and nothing. Took it home and pressed and held the reset button. When released the red LED flashed and the screen displays something for a short time. It then shuts down. One time it worked for 5 minutes, the other times for 30secs... Took it apart today and found the internal battery (B2) was dead (well, it was outputting 2.2V but should be 3.6V). Removed it and tested the camera with a DC power supply set to 3.6V and the camera is back working like normal. I went ahead and ordered two NiMH 3.6V batteries for ~$5ea in case my other one gives out this year. I'll update this once its been back in the field for a month. Just FYI

Glad that you figured it out. Not everyone would... they would just throw it away and buy a new one.
Post up some pics sometimes...
