Ok I been seeing pic's and reading stories on facebook and other hunting sites about a 309" non typical killed in Huntington County Indiana during 2012 shotgun season that will be a new Indiana State record and a No 3 all time non typical supposed to allready be Boone and Crockett scored. So is this LEGIT or a BS.

On "another site" that I frequent, one of the regulars there (who writes for a major deer hunting magazine), said he knows who scored it and that the 309 7/8 score is legit.
My understanding is that if the score stands, the deer will be the largest non-typical ever killed by a hunter.

WOW, that would be cool, I'd love to see a picture
Havent heard a thing about it, however I hunted at the Welker Gravel pit one year and trapped it and the area for beaver and did see a pretty big non typical living in the WOWO tower woods.
That thing was smart, he'd come out the southwest corner right at dark, then sprint down the ditch, cut across and sprint to the woods 300 yards across a field.
Guess that is how those dudes get that big.

Jon Bronnenberg said he scored it and supposedly sent the paperwork in today.

No pictures ? dang... LOL
that is cool, can't wait to see the pics
I know there was an Retired FW Police officer that walked the Welker Road a few times a week. He hunts out that way and told me he shot a big one with his handgun one year.
Love big non-typicals. We had one at the Miami county farm years ago, supposedly he was found dead , teeth wore down and still scored almost 200" , that could be legend but I did see it alive one year, albeit late January,he was a brute

Thats a buck of 10 lifetimes. Now then, everyone can start arguing if it was killed by fair chase, if he had his hunter orange on and if he supposedely tagged it on an illegal landowner tag, lol.

I was just kidding about everyone arguing about it being illegal, so please don't start on my account. That last pic really does the buck justice.

I figured, but it seems there has been a rash of penned raised deer shot and claimed, just not long ago it happened in NY and I know the guy that faked its brother. But I have no doubts about this one, awesome hoosier buck

Killing a deer like that is great, but sometimes a guy has to think if it's really worth it with all the nay sayers that it will surely bring out. Congratulation to this guy that took him in Hoosierland. I never doubted that Indiana held this caliber of deer even with our states so called "screwed" up management plan.
