Thats because you were using your high powered rifle and killing all the geese that Kyle did not think were in range.

I least it was only five shots! next year I am buying stock in federal and taking john hunting everday. That stock would shoot up with all the shells he would be buying. Don't worry fellas.......... those apartment complex geese are use to hearing gunfire. ;D You guys went about it the wrong way...........try this set up. Next time you go, take a red/blue strobe light. When you shoot and miss.......turn on the strobe, get up and start running in all directions, and the geese will come right back and sit down in your spread, and you can try again. Those geese are use to that type of activity and will feel right at home........just like back in the hood!

I think MIG is on to something!!!! Question about your setup MIG....... Would it be considered "baiting" if we sprayed fake blood on the ground around the dekes as well as some fake crack pieces tossed around? Also, would you think that using yellow crime scene tape would make the geese flare or make them come on in??? Thanks for the tips!!!

Heck, you could just stand out there with a bag of confetti and toss it out when they start to fly by. They'll come right in because it will look like bread crumbs. No dekes, no blinds, no camo needed. Just make sure to get the bio-degradable confetti, so you don't harm the environment.

I think yellow crime tape and a miniature fake apartment complex would do the trick. At least it may have helped tonight, nothing else seemed to work. As for Kyle's shooting, all I know is that by the time we finished picking up and got back to the truck my cup of coffee was still too hot to drink. We don't waste time like you rookies do. ;D

At least it may have helped tonight, nothing else seemed to work. Something was wrong. All I kept hearing was how many birds were in that field. Hmmm I dont recall seeing any at all...

Fake crack would be a no go.........if they can eat it.......its bait. Those geese would eat the fake crack like its candy! The crime scene tape is a must.........forget the "normal" flags that you would use. Crime scene tape will work much better!

LOL...... Where did all those geese go Kyle??? I'm thinking that after the other day's "take", Art got worried and made them all go back to his barn so nobody else could kill 'em. Oh sure...he went out yesterday just to throw us off the trail of what happened to the geese! That is strange about what happened to them. How can several thousand geese be in an area one day, and gone the next??? Maybe they all are Colts fans and are hanging out on the White River down by the Dome?

Travis I wouldn't get too concerned about their whereabouts. They're here you just have to find them.
