While on vacation last week in the upper peninsula of Michigan the wife and I stopped at a store that was selling dried mushrooms.
The price for 1/2 ounce of Hen of the Woods was $8.50.
The price for 1/2 ounce of Morels was $13.50.
1/2 ounce of dried mushrooms will fit in the palm of your hand.
The owner of the store said that it was a bad year for Morels the going price this spring was between $40.00 and $50.00 dollars a pound if you could find any for sale.
