As we will now have ECheck the question is moot. Is this a done deal? if so why is the DNR, still taking opinions on this option?

My understanding was that we would have both the "telechek" type deal and check stations for the deer season this year.

No, On more training. My question is that if you know 100% for sure people are checking or not checking deer in illegaly, are you calling the T.I.P hotline ?

I'm calling our local CO directly or sending emails. The problem is all I can do is send name, address and what I know...but unless you have actual evidence (two harvest shots in same year, tons of eyewitnesses or admittance of guilt in some fashion) they can't do much.

no matter what you do or how you do it if they are double dipping now they will do it also in the future no matter what check in procedure is used. its pretty simple to figure out. if someone wants extra buck tags he will buy his wife and or kids one and keep shooting them. when he or she gets caught then they might quit, or they may not even buy a tag anymore. id rather have the deer accounted for by him checking them in then out there spotlighting every deer he sees and not checking them in. having the co check the check stations like this would be that much more time that they arent in the field.

As we will now have ECheck the question is moot. And if you know someone is doing something wrong, then there is the tip line to report it. Writing a post about it does absolutely nothing.

I maybe wrong but the check in system is pointless. It only checks honest people. I grew up hunting in a state without a check in system. When you bought your license the next year you filled out a survey about what types of game you killed. The people that check deer legally will be honest about the survey and the others won't.

Don't worry Telecheck will fix all this worrisome deer check station issue and in a few years the deer check station will be a thing of the past wait and see lol....

Pretty much this. It's a way to collect some data, but keeping people honest - nothing will do that.

And not reading everything I've already done, conversations with CO and even conversations with other hunters...does absolutely nothing to add to the thread. Seriously guys, I posted this to get some thoughts because it's something I am curious to know the frustration of others on...because I've done what I can when I have good knowledge double dipping or illegal harvests are occurring. So get off my back already!
