Maybe he was normal color till the hunter stood up and aimed a 12 gauge at him!

Seems similar to a duck my son shot a couple years ago. A leusystic coloration: Less pigment in the melanine in the feathers allows for lighter coloring. MAson(my son), and I thought the bird was a mallard/ farm duck cross. So we ate it. Monday we looked up crosss on the web and came across the terminology. Should a mounted that sucker! I say the goose has a similar situation.
