didnt get to hunt yesterday or this morning due to a bowfishing tournament. went out this afternoon and set in a food plot. got there at 5 pm and had to reset the blind from the strong wind gust. took about 5 or 10 minutes to do this. once done and situated i yelped on a mouth call and got a gobbler to respond right away. called to him 3 more times in the next 15 minutes or so and he gobbled everytime. once i saw him at 80 yards i shut up and let him do the rest. total hunt lasted 27 minutes. birds are really workable right now with most of the hens setting. 25 pounds 10 3/4 inch beard and 1 inch spurs. total score of 65.5.

Sounds like a nice bird and a relatively easy hunt. Congrats.

Great job That looks like our second bird for the contest working on defending. Were you and timex sitting together? Your posts were almost the exact same time.

no we were not sitting together. he killed his saturday morning and i killed mine sunday afternoon at around 5 30. had another good morning yesterday with lots of gobbling and had a bird come close but he hung up around 75 yards or so. with his work schedule now its hard to hunt together like we use too.
