Just wondering if any of you folks have taken or even seen any canvasbacks or pintail this year? This is the first year that we haven't seen any of these types. Did manage to take a redhead the other week. That's the only "rare" duck we've run across.

We saw a couple of canvasbacks from the road several weeks ago. They were at the opposite end of the lake from a couple of guys' spread.

We always usually see Pintails during the first part of the NZ (can't shoot them, though) and see Cans on the big waters. I shot a Bull Sprig in Jan. before there was a "special" season on them and killed a nice Bull Can the first year we were allowed to do in the 90's.
