Thanks. I looked up Alamo, and one source said that I-70 was it's northern limit for good growing.
Anyone in the northern part of the state have any success with it?

THanks for the link Throbak. I'm planning my foodplots and screens now. I have some Plot screen from Frigid Forage to plant but dad doesn't think the blend is a good one because of the varieties that are in it might spread to our crop fields and be a pain in the butt to get rid of.

Oue new DC for the NRCS is from IOWA they grew it there he mentioned so I think it will grow about any where in Indiana IMO AGGAR .One thing to consider on the Warm Season Grasses is the reason they are not here in abundance now is over grazing and mowing to often. Dont consider miscanthus grasses,, What varities ?? Duff You could but our growing season is to short to produce viable seed it grows well but no seed

great cover.stands up well all winter it will lay down some with snow but pops back up, Spotlights cant penetrate it and up to 10 ft. tall
