Well, I sold an old double gun to fund the majority of my new CCW. I shot one a few weeks ago and fell head over heels for it:

Awesome!
I love my CW9, but I really want to pick up a CM9 since those are a tad bit smaller.
Remember- 200 rounds break-in. Use every ammo you can find during those 200 rounds. If it's going to hiccup, it will do it then. The only issue I've had with my CW is when I haven't gotten the last round at the top of the stack fully seated in the mag and it won't chamber right. Purely operator error.
Have fun, and remember to report back!

Since it is so new to me, I'll hold comment until I put it through the test. However, I really think it'll be a winner. As you say, I will be pounding quite a few rounds of different ammo through her just as I did with my LCP. Hopefully, I have a chance to shoot a bit tomorrow!

There is NO comparison between the triggers of the Kahr and the LCP's!
New guns must be in the air for everyone but me.... My boss just bought his first gun today, they had some events in the neighborhood last night that brought that about. He decided on an Airweight S&W .38 Special +P revolver. I guess I'll have to shoot it once or twice to make sure it works before I teach him and the other boss (his wife) how to shoot. ;D

I went out today and put 144 rounds through the CM9...144, because that was all the ammo I had! I shot 50 rounds of Blazer Brass (115gr), 50 rounds of Remington (115gr), and 44 rounds of some old Federal (123gr). It was pouring down rain so I wasn't so concerned with shot placement (7 yds) as breaking the gun in. Here are some quick notes:
**My first note is my only negative on the gun. I take down every gun I purchase before firing it. This gun was by far the dirtiest gun I've ever seen from a factory. The internals were loaded with plastic shavings and oily/dirty grit. None of the debris appeared to be metal, but she received a thorough cleaning anyway. Another reminder as to why it is so important to break a new gun down and clean it before heading to the range.
**Everything else is super. I'll start with the trigger...simply sweet!
**Then we got used to the sights...that took OOOH, about 1 shot!
**The balance on this gun...perfect to me!
**Now we pounded the rounds through her...not a single glitch! Obviously, I didn't bumpfire the gun. But, I did hammer some quick fire. Like you say danf, if she malfunctions, I want to know it now.
**The magazine...very stout. So stout that I started to load 5 rounds instead of 6 because the 6th round takes a lot of pressure.
**FWIW, the targets were soggy, but I can already tell with ~2" groups at 7 yds free, I'm really gonna like this gun.
No doubt about it...this is the sweetest handgun I've owned and shot to date!!!

Based on your experiences with the CM9 and mine with the CW9, I may pick up one of these as well for pocket carry. I am a fan of the single stack design and Kahr makes a nice firearm at an affordable price. I miss having an option for a small front pocket gun that I can carry in a small holster I have.

I'm loving this gun more every day. I have now fired over 300 rounds through this gun, adding some Sellier & Bellot (124gr) to the mix of ammo. NOT ONCE has the gun misfired, jammed, or come close to a glitch of any kind since the first round! Even though it is a bit larger than my LCP, I find myself carrying this gun much more. I can't really explain why...I just am. It fits fine in my Uncle Mikes #3. And all I did was clean the gun well at the start and buffed the feedramp with a little Flitz compound.
I must admit, I had been reading and researching this gun for awhile. Then I read the like of your posts (danf, jajwrigh) regarding the Kahrs and decided to go for it. I'm glad I did!
If I keep this up, I'm gonna have to do a lil' research on reloading!

If I keep this up, I'm gonna have to do a lil' research on reloading! If you decide to do this as well, me and my esteemed friend to the north (daniel) can help you with this as well...among many others lurking around. ;D

Seriously gonna have to look into reloads here! I had no idea I'd have so much fun shooting when I bought this gun.
jajwrigh: Do you reload 9mm and what are your (or anybody else) thoughts on savings, setup, links, loads, etc.??

I just picked up a CM9 that I ordered from my LGS. A complete takedown, cleaning/degreasing, oil and lube soon then it will be down to my range for some live action. A great source of info is available at Kahrtalk.com. I plan on this little pocket 9 becoming my EDC very soon. Initial impression was that it is the dirtiest gun I have ever bought from the factory. A little prep though and she should be fine. I plan on using WWB FMJ 115, Federal Champion 115 and some Wally world Remington for the initial breakin. Then I will run 50 rounds of Hornady CD through her, should be good to go if no major problems after that. Will keep the process posted, also looking forward to reading more of other CM9 owner experiences.

Initial impression was that it is the dirtiest gun I have ever bought from the factory. A little prep though and she should be fine. Interesting. I thought the same thing. So far, she's been flawless. After 700+ rounds, I am comfortable enough with my groups that I will adjust the sights a bit. At 7 yds, she shoots about 1-1/2" to the left for me.

I had the pleasure of shooting highcottonguide's CM9 yesterday for the first time. I'm impressed. Gun fits great in my hand, very balanced, and the trigger is very smooth.
It has officially been added to my "wish list"!

Just as an FYI, I bought some Speer Gold Dot ammo for my CW9 to use as carry ammo... I didn't notice until I got home with it that it was rated as +P ammo. I could find nothing about whether my CW9 was rated for it, so an email was sent to Kahr. According to the response I got, all Kahr firearms are rated for +P, so if you want to run that ammo, go ahead!
