Check with dadfsr, I know he's got an extra jonboat, but I'm not sure how long it is.

Duckmaster if you are wanting it for fishing small places think about a 10' two man plastic. I have both and the plastic is far better than the Jon.

well I am wanting for both fishing and small water duck hunting, something to get me around on a couple of sloughs, that is why I am wanting the john boat instead of the plastic

Before you buy it, double check the weight capacity rating on it. You may be suprised how little they can carry. My 10' plastic has a higher rating than many 12' jon boats.

I would argue against the plastic boats, having owned both. Plastic boats are extremely heavy compared to aluminum boats for loading in/out of a truck. Most of them also are double layered and it is very common to get water between the layers which is then not so easy to drain out. I had to drill drain holes in mine. Jon boats are more open and roomier too.

G3 makes one with a 56" beam. Thats about the widest 12' Jon boat that I know of. Max capacity is 470 lbs.

Love my 11' jon boat. More for carrying my gear than carrying me. I saw a bunch on CL too.

I have seen some on craigslist, but not close to Evansville. Saltydog, nice boat, but just wanting something I can slide into the back of the truck, so a trailer would be out of the question. No one down around here in Evansville has any for sale. Have cash and custom made calls to offer!
