Is Goose Pond over in Monroe County somewhere? I always read about you guys going there but usually don't stray too far from home to hunt.

I can verify that Plenty o coots if you're into that. I remember last year that there were coots by the hundreds. There were even a few that didn't quite make it across the highway.

There was not many ducks there this past week. And with the freeze we had the last couple days im guessing its not gonna be good at all. No cold front coming anytime soon to push any new birds down. Unless you live close i would not waste my time.

Look at some of the back waters of the Ohio. I always thought Oil Creek looked good but never been down there to hunt. I am sure there are several other spots just like it too.

Jordan and I hunt together a lot, just getting back in to ducks for me after growing up hunting them and hunting hard until my early 30's this is Jordan's first year. We have been looking pretty hard to find just what you are talking about, but the land owners are getting tough and with out a suitable boat to get on the river its kinda tough. Next year however we should be set up and ready! Thanks for the tip Duff, glad there are some on here that are not afraid to be true sportsmen and mentors!!!

Went to Goose Pond yesterday. Haven't seen that many birds since I hunted in Missouri. They got ALOT of new birds. Lots of Mallards, Gadwalls, Scaup, Mergansers, and Ringers. Plus had several groups of Canada's and some Specs. I've never seen Specs before until yesterday.

Hunted oil creek last week for the first time seen some birds high headed to the river nothing was even close to coming in but that's the way it goes.

OH MY GOD! I can't believe you guys are giving away secret honey hole information. What's next GPS coordinates, boat ramp names, nearest county roads, blind numbers. Whats this world coming too? On a serious note glad you guys down south are seeing birds because there isn't much up here to send your way. There are plenty of Canada geese with a few snows, blues and even some speckle bellies up here, but not very many puddlers.
