There are no deer in Miami county. haha. Seriously, the does are moving but the bucks I know of are still moving @ night primarily. Which is fine with me because a doe or two is good eating and my freezer is still empty except for some beef. Didn't get out this a.m. though, darn job. I had a couple bucks start out in one part of my woods scraping in early season and now has another spot he prefers. Maybe I'll see him Thursday, maybe I won't. Now in Cass county where I werk, seen a buck crossing road about 7:00 a.m. and I have reports from other coworkers seeing deer, both bucks and does. I believe the rut doesn't start until the deer say so, which in Miami county is not yet.

Still in the early going around my hunting area. Lots of new rubs popping up everywhere but not a lot of chasing yet. Just a lot of bucks doing "buck stuff." I heard some grunts Sunday evening. I have seen several bucks just sort of cruising around but not much actual chasing. I think it is ready to pop any day.

Nothing happening to speak of just north of Bloomfield. We've got lots of small scrapes and lots of trail cam pics of small bucks. We aren't even seeing small bucks pushing does. My buddy is seeing similar things on his property north of Bloomfield.

It's happening. Full moon and warm temp's equal more night time activity but they are allready breeding make no mistake. Both my hunting partner and I have witnessed does being bred. So warm weather or not. Get off the couch and in a stand somewhere.

Just got in from morning hunt. Saw a 2.5 year old 8pt. Grunted him in to within 5 yard's of my tree. He checked a couple scrapes then headed on down the ridge. Also saw 2 does and a yearling the bigger doe stopped in a scrape and smelled around for awhile before heading into thicket i'm guessing to bed. Have seen 13 different buck's in last last 5 days. Mostly 2.5 year old's. 1- 3.5 year old and he was with doe. His racked was all busted up. Headed to office couple hour's then back to treestand for afternoon hunt.

Last Friday was awesome! Then it just died. Saw several bucks chasing and trying to climb up on does but ever since then it is as if it never happened.

Buddy shot a 176 3/8" monster this morning at 8:00. I'd say he was looking for something.
