..............I still think that after a few years Indiana will allow all rifles, assuming no icrease in accidents solely attributable to rifles. Contrary to some beliefs I believe that the DNR is not full of gun dummies. They know what they are doing. They do state that they want to keep deer hunting guns at "low to moderate ranges" and then allow any caliber in handguns and this creeping towards full inclusion of all centerfires.. Yes, we will have full inclusion of all centerfires some day.. IMHO... |

I hope you are right. Would love to hunt with a 7mm or 338 ULTRAMAG.

Back to the .358 Hoosier round, and I suddenly wish I hadn't sold my old Savage 99E in .308 Winchester. If one could have a barrel made for that rifle in this new cartridge, I think that combo would be a real winner in this caliber.
