United Blood Trackers / Tracking dogs Just want to invite everyone to look at the new United Blood Trackers web site. We just launced the new version. We hope the look and information that it provides helps trackers and hunters alike. You may never need a tracking dog to recover you animal but might as well be prepared just in case. There is a lot of information about training a tracking dog. United Blood Trackers is a not for profit organization formed to promote blood tracking dogs and provide the resources needed for training your dog. Come check it out, let me know what you think and if there is anything else that you feel needs to be on the site to help handlers and hunters alike. www.unitedbloodtrackers.orgThanks Ken

Southern Indiana can call me. 5026824397. 6 year old bloodhound with 172 recovered deer. Those are deer the hunters actually took home. We have found alot more than that but they weren't dead and jumped back up.

They add up quick when you track multiple deer on some days. 3 years ago we tracked 13 deer in a 26 hour time frame. Left home at 4 am and got back the next morning around daylight. Lol. We put alot of miles in each year both on foot and on the road.

We updated our Find-a-Tracker map www.unitedbloodtrackers.org/find-a-tracker/ and now a hunter will be able to locate the closest tracker with ease. Now the hunter can put in his city and state or zip code and a pinned map comes up showing the closest trackers just like a google maps search would. It is accompanied by a list of trackers, sorted by distance. The old Find-a-Tracker map is still there and works like it always did doing a search by state. The new system has a feature that the old system did not. Now a UBT member can go into his or her profile and enter 3 different zip codes to customize their tracking territory. This is a feature that should be very helpful for trackers that are willing to travel long distances or spend different times of the tracking season in different locations. Share with your friends! If you are a tracker and you would like to be on the map, you have to be our member. The dues are $25 per year and you can join online at www.unitedbloodtrackers.org

I tried it and it worked great. I was really surprised how few trackers there were in my aera and how far they would have to travel. I really figured there would be a dog about every 25 miles. Is it normal for trackers to be in the 150 mile apart range or am I in an aera with fue trackers
