Those look good. Do you have any full draw and close up views of the handle and tips? I knew you couldn't build just one. Just wait until you get some staves, then you will really get hooked. What kind of trees are you going to start with?

I don't have any other pics right now, but I'll try to post some more. The handle on the upper one is wrapped in leather strips cut from a $5 Goodwill coat! It also has some glued up recurve tips.
I've found a great build along on trad gang for a pyramid bow that will be my next project.
It is addictive! Especially after you build one that turns out to be usable.

That looks good. Shooting that first arrow is an awesome feeling isn't it?

Here's another one' It was coming along great, until I cut the sight window to close to the fade and it broke!! So---, I chopped off the limbs, glued up a new riser, and created "Frankenbow"! I drilled it and attached it it with 5/16 "electrodes"! Backed it with silk, and branded it! It's ugly, but it's my best shooter to date. Draws just a tad over 50# at 28".

Looks good to me. A deer won't care what your bow looks like. I plan on making an ugly bow for deer season this year.
So how many bows is that for you so far? I warned you it is addicting.

I've started 5 and 3 have survived the ordeal! Although my first one ended up at very low poundage.
On this last one, I was going to look for some decorative, perhaps brass, bolts, but I decided to just keep the 5/16 hex bolts instead.
One thing I know- I'm gonna get me an arm guard! My left wrist is one big red welt!

I hear ya. I just made one for me and one for my son. I used fake emu skin. I backed it with leather, stiched around the edges, and used some stretch cord to go around the arm.
