Turkey season couldn't come fast enough. I'm ready for Spring weather and a big ole Tom to gobble 50 yards in front of me. I think my favorite part of Turkey hunting is walking through the woods looking for some Morels and just waiting to hear one gobble. Just being in the woods after a cold dreary Winter and seeing everything come back to life always makes Turkey season that much more special each year.

I can't wait, it's been a long cold winter and late goose season was a bust. Hopefully turkey season will be better haven't seen many tracks buy my property but have seen birds out in other fields in the area. Good Luck!!

I dont think I have ever been so excited and ready for turkey season! Perhaps the purchase of some new calls have something to do with that or maybe it's just love of it. I found myself just staring at my turkey gun the other day just dying to get it out!

Not a bug that hath bitten me ....as yet. Expecting to get "skunked" I may give it a go with a recurve this year anyway. About the only way I find it interesting. Long time wingshooter and stuck in my old age rut it's just "hard" for me to think of shooting at something standing still with shot..... Not saying it's EASY, way too much interest in the sport for it to not be challenging but I would like to say I whacked one with my bow. I have time and turkeys in the area I hunt. 12 behind my home last night in the field. For now, just time to be afield yet the bug might bite harder than I think. Went once, saw some but not a one had antlers......dang it. Id like to sit at the check station begging for flight feathers for arrow making lol. Nephew and friends hunt two states but "never remember" Unk wants feathers......sigh. God Bless

Hey Gobblerstopper, what blind ? I gave a good look at the Rhino, but I haven't decided yet. Stopped at Hooks got some new calls to try out. I got the Rhino XP-1. They were sold out of the green though, so I won't get it until the middle of the week. The blind is basically a double bull except it is reinforced in the corners, has some material added to the bottom to keep the light out, has a better window system, has a 100% free parts or replacement guarentee and is made in the USA by some super nice people that I talked with for quite some time and is was only $200 to my door. Actually it is nothing like the new double bulls ;D Jaxson came home with a hat from Hook's and I got a bag full of calls and some owl hooters on the way. It was great to see you and the misses down there!! You two need to stop by when I get some ceramic calls made up and check them out.

That's the one We looked at too. If I were to buy one it would be the predator green also, but I may save that money and spend it on habitat improvement at the old place. I played with a few ceramic calls on the auction table but it's really hard to judge sound inside that place. I bought a little push pin from Perfection that sounded good in there but not so good when we got it home. Yell when you get some calls made up, you know I'm a sucker for a good pot call LOL.

April 16th for me in KY.. fw.ky.gov/pdf/11springturkeyentire.pdf I'll have a week and a half to TRY and put a couple on the ground there before Indiana opens up.. There are a bunch of birds on the ground I hunt in Illinois, but I'm going to concentrate on KY and IN.
