Believe it or not, it's actually in violation of a specific town ordinance in Hamilton county.

We're now processing our own at my buddy's house. The first day we had one up and skinning it the neighbors drove by re....al slow to see what we were doing. He was expecting a call from the POA. Fortunatley that never happened.

Living where I do I process mine in my garage. The backyard would work, but I try to be discreet without being sneaky.
I don't know that I have any "antis'" as neighbors, but, for some, the sight of a deer being skinned and butchered might be a little unsettling.

OH well they will remained disturbed in this area its common even in town here .
I had one old bitty of a woman in her big old caddy tell me years ago after pulling up the 250 ft drive way that my hanging my deer in the tree by my garage for her to see was disgusting and barbaric and how deer hunting should be outlawed . I lived in the country as well and I simply looked her in the eyes as she wiggled her head smugly in that way only those types can and pointing her long fat finger at me .
I told her these exact words "that I found her offensive and disgusting as well and that I was ordering her off my property " .She later came back but with the sheriff in tow he steps out looks over the situation as he walks up .I say may I help you he said I had a complaint about this deer hanging in the tree I was wondering if you would get it down or cover it up ?? I say well sir I will not take it down till I am ready since there is no law that says I have to and just for the record I told that woman now setting in my drive in all her glory that I was ordering off my property and she is not welcome here for any reason. He said I was afraid you would say that . I say why he said that woman has called us three times this week and you are the first person to decline my request . He said thank you turns walks back to her car and tells her that I had said no .
We ll she opens the car door and starts to crawl semi roll out . Being the type person I am I tell the sheriff deputy if she pulls her fat butt out of that car and walks up here after I threw her off once already I want you to arrest her .
He looked at me as she was attempting to pour herself out of that boat of a car and said to me " are you sure you want that " . I said absolutely.
He tells her Mrs such and such if you get out of you car or refuse to leave I will have no choice but arrest you . She started yelling and cussing in only the way some old fat nib-by snooty woman can. After a few words slung at me then at the officer she slammed her car door and drove away in the biggest huff i have ever seen.
The officer tells me that later all I had to do was take down the deer or cover it and she would of just left and been happy she got her way . I looked at him and said well sir here is the thing if I give in to that today on my land in the country what will I need to give into the next time an anti hunter drives by . He said well now that you put it that way you were within your rights and did not break any laws .so I can somewhat understand why you did what you did.
As he was pulling out he asked me "hay would you of really had her arrested for trespassing ?" I said did I look you in the face and tell you NO? He just nodded his head once and drove away .
Just one year later I saw the womans picture in the paper she had been arrest by a CO for trespassing and obstructing a hunter .The hunter was her neighbor and she had disrupted his hunt for a strait week . She got 1 year suspended and probation .She resisted arrest the article said.
Stand or fall is what I say but know your local laws..

Boonechaser, Versailles mayor works out of that little office next to the legion! At least that's what she tells me she is, cause we are buds! The three member or so town council is just there to advice her, and one of those is a big time hunter, so I doubt any ordnances will get passed prohibiting the hanging of deer in town. She called me Monday saying there were voice mails left on the town's answering machine about a deer hanging on Main Street. By that time it was already down and headed to the butcher shop.

My mom's on town board that's why I said that. I have some insurance for town and know thier secratary as well. (And yes she does probably run the show.) Yea used to live in town myself before moving to switerland countya and hung several deer from my basketball goal growing up. Attend Vers Baptist Church from time to time, still bet minister was the instagator on those call's. LOL.

Your mom is Dee Dee Binke? LOL Sadly, by the way, I was hoisting that deer up off of the 4 wheeler while people were filing in to church that morning. I was decent though and faced his open belly towards the house!

I dont care what any nonhunter thinks ,I just call it education that there IS such a thing as 'deer hunting' ,people are getting dumber all the time to such an idea of how 'other 'people live, too removed from it, If you hide it ,it just gets worse.

living in the country and hanging deer is one thing. If you live in town I feel you should hang your deer in the garage or back yard. I can just hear all the little kids now crying saying "daddy, why is bambi hangin from that tree and why can you see inside him". . . .

Well son, here's the facts of life. Everything gets eaten by something else.
Heck, I hung a nice 10 point from the tree in front of the dorm when I was going to college. Not one person complained, but I had quite a few knocks on the dorm room wanting to know where I got it!
