Nice man. Glad to see a fellow nuke squid harvesting such a nice deer.
I am still waiting my turn at a deer like that.

I got my buck home early Monday morning, butchered most of the day and took the rack and hide to my taxidermist. So I go back down to the farm this morning about 10 am, to look for my arrow and do a little reminiscing. The shot was right at 40 yards, by the wound channel he was slightly quartering away traveling from right to left. The arrow entered behind his left shoulder and traveled up in to the very small end of the ribcage up by his neck and left a small hole in the ribs without exiting. No visible damage to the off hand shoulder when processing, but the entry shoulder was demolished and bloodshot. No broken shaft or broad-head in the deer. So I looked where I found first blood and tracked him all the way down to where I gutted him, not more than 100 yards downhill. I looked up and down and back and forth. No arrow? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ? Where the heck did it go? It either fell out, or he pulled it out, but I sure couldn't find it. Throbak do you have an arrow finding dog?

It's hard to leave them there but it's better than running them off. Great job, congrats. I remember my dad and I going with you to recover your buck the next morning last year. Congrats old3arrows!

Pulled my trail cam picks this afternoon. The deer I took was on one camera. He got his picture taken no more than a few minutes before we had our fatal meeting! ![](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h174/old3arrows/2010%20Big%20Buck%20Down/MDGC0006.jpg) ![](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h174/old3arrows/2010%20Big%20Buck%20Down/MDGC0005.jpg)
