Here is my bow I will be using in a few weeks. It is made out of Iron wood, or some people call it Hop Horn Beam. It has a decent sized knot in the upper limb. I stained it and sealed it with spar urethane. It has a shine to it, so I will have to dull it up a little. I put a floppy leather rest on it. It shoots my wood arrows pretty good. It draws 55# @ 26".

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I can't wait till opening day. I have been shooting a lot. I hung a ladderstand in a great place overlooking some trails into a field. Should be a great set up for getting a doe. I am getting the shakes just thinking about it.

What is the nock to nock length? I am beginning work on a HHB bow from a 3" diameter sapling. This is some tough wood. Hope it comes out half as nice as yours.

The tree that it came from was 5" diameter. I split it into 4 staves. Good luck with your bow.
