Shouldn't they have to take a test to sell guns? I doubt that person has ever fired a shotgun at a squirrel. You are to be commended to seek advice elsewhere!

I gave up on the shotgun thing years ago, using an 870 12 gauge was too noisy, gun too heavy [I'm lazy], ammo too expensive, no skill in the shot, got tired of digging shot out of the animal. Bite down on a piece of lead shot, break a tooth, and see how much the dentist is going to charge you to fix that little problem. Use a .22 in various rifles now when the squirrel hunting bug bites me. I must admit to having worked up a 160 gr., gas checked, semi-wadcutter at 1200 fps for use in a scope mounted 1903 Springfield [old enough to have read the very old American Rifleman magazines].YMMV

Without a doubt my fav. gun of all time is the 870. I've had mine close to 20 years. Over the years i've taken squirrels, dove, rabbits, deer, turkey, wild hog, pheasant, ducks, geese and even won my share of ham rounds at a local spot shoot all with my 870 Express Magnum with 2 barrels and 4 choke tubes. Not once has it jammed, or miss fired. Not once taken to a gunsmith. IMO the best gun ever made.

Lug! I bought an 870 Express when I graduated high school in 1987, and I have put a TON of shells of all flavors thru it... NEVER an issue with it!
