Well be alright.. i havent been huntin when the corn is up You haven't been hunting very long then have you? I'm not worried about standing corn at all. In fact, I'm not even sure where the closest corn field is to me right now. ;D ;D At least you guys have deer to kill- I've been here in NH for almost 2 months now and have yet to see a single deer. I haven't been in the woods at all. I have, however, seen a moose and a bear though... It seems like every year (except for 2007 when ALL of the crops were out by the end of October!) I wondered if the corn would be out before opening of firearms... If not, start slipping through the rows one at a time after opening weekend!

I was thinking the same thing from talking with my farmer friends, but my son and I have had great success and hunt strictly corn in our area. None of the corn is anywhere near ready the shell at our spots but we have been hunting the fringe and choke points with great success. I took a really nice urban buck (for me) Sunday along the edge of the corn. Around 110 or 115 inch 8 point, and took 2 does in a creek bottom that runs between two corn fields. My son took a bb his second deer ever with a bow back in Sept. and just took a mature doe and another bb tonight in that same creek bottom. Also today we discovered 3 or 4 large scrapes along the edge of the same field. Only problem we have had with the crops in is it makes for a very long drag.
