Hey I finally made it on here. And The first thing I want to do is thank everyone for the great time this weekend. I had a blast even though iI wasn't hunting. Even though Nathan and I didn't see a deer til the last nite he said he had fun. And he is over that 4 yard miss that still just kills me but i'm gunna help him practice and break him of that left eye hope fully. But thank you Timex for letting all of us come out there. Thank you Woody for setting it all up so we could have the chance and Thanks to Deer trax and princess for making sure we didnt starve to death. Good job Trey for getting the 103lb. doe.

Welcome Nick!
Nathan still put a good crossbw shot on that target after he got settled in.
His left eye dominance did cause some problems.
Glad that you all enjoyed it.

Hey woody do you know what the easiest way to break him of the left eye thing... just cover his left eye and make him shoot with his right or get a left handed gun. It will cost more for the gun of course but it will be worth it cause thats why he missed that deer im pretty sure

that was a tough miss. he did hit a sapling but that slug at 4 yards still should have put that deer down. i dont think it was all the fault of the tree. that has to be hard to shoot right handed with your left eye. my suggestion would be to keep shooting right handed cause he has a good form but put a patch over his left eye so he has to shoot with his right. just like i told you nick with your bow if you do something over and over one way you can train yourself to naturally do it that way when you have to and you dont think about it. does that sound about right to everyone.

we wouldnt tell you to do it the wrong way we are all here to help you. i want to personally sit with you again next year if possible and see you get a deer and not the tree. by the way you didnt take that tree home to get mounted, that was about a 130incher. just kindding bud work on that shooting and youll be fine

Welcome here, and better luck next time. I'm left eye dominant and right handed. They are correct, you just train yourself to favor your right eye when shooting. I can tell you being cross dominant helps in some hand-eye coordination sports, like hitting a baseball. Keep at it and get that deer.

I learned early-on that I was left eye dominated & right handed so I just switched to shooting everything left-handed except pistols. With pistols I use a funky right-hand grip. I quit buying left handed long guns & learned to work with right-handed guns. Good Luck!!!!!!!
Welcome yb. Glad to have you on board!
