I took Kyle out this evening for some shooting with his shotgun....only this time we ran some slugs through it. The gun sighted in very well, and I was all over the center mark within 5 shots. Kyle took over @ the 20 yard mark and did very nicely. After he realized the slugs weren't going to kick any worse than what he was use to he settled down, breathed, and squeezed the trigger.....with each slug staying easily in the vital area if he were shooting at a real deer. We moved back to 35 and he did just as well..... his final shot of the night just missed hitting dead center, and both were within a few inches. We'll move back to 50 yards next time out....hopefully he keeps everything close @ 50, and we'll limit the distance he shoots at a real deer to within 60 yards and he should be fine. He is soooo pumped to be hunting in 3 weeks!   |

Good shooting and nice looking gun he has there! Thanks..... that's a $250 Escort shotgun. It performs as well as my $1,500 Benelli..... I could not be more pleased with the performance, looks, and durability of this "cheap" gun! |

I wondered what it was, for $250 that looks very nice. If he can do that at 50 he ought to do well.

hey travis, there is nothing like being prepared to go to the wooooooods or water and do it pre-season, its just one step closer to being successfull, obviously you are successfull and passing that to your family and friends is great!!....very immpressive shooting kyle!!!!!!!!!....thanks for sharing...........TAKE A YOUNGSTER ON YOUR NEXT OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE.............turkey scout
