Wouldn't mind having one...pretty neat little rifle...but since I have the T/C Contenders I am quite sure that I can buy a rifle barrel much cheaper and have a more accurate weapon to hunt with.

I just bought an older version of this but as you said it is tube fed. I have not tried really sighting it in yet but the off the cuff shooting I really like mine. I am sure the new ones are similar.

, is it out on the market? I guess I'm with SS; I wouldn't mind having one either, but if it and my Encore carbine were laying there side by side and I could pick either one to go out with I'd grab the Encore.

I once had one of Ruger's .44 Autos, but found it not to be very accurate. Also it was VERY fussy with reloads and some brands of ammo. the most accurate ammo, in my .44 Auto carbine, was Norma .44 Magnum ammo 240 grain SPFN.

I like the bolt gun even better! Supposedly the 99/44 has been out since 2006!? I've seen them on GunBroker.

Woody, I owned my Ruger .44 Auto. back in the late 1960's and I received .750" 5-shot groups @ 50 yards with Norma .44 Magnum Ammo. I receive .750" or less, 5-shot groupings @ 100 yards with my Bolt Action M-77/.44 Mag.
