Anyone had any experience with these, or know anything about them? Especially their variable power models.

Yes, I have, and I would suggest that you take your money and RUN just as fast as you can away from them.......  I bought a used T/C Encore pistol barrel that had one on it. I would say that if it wouldn't take the recoil of the .243, it would be toast on anything with more recoil. IMO..... |

Cheap, Chinese made. Its one of those "if you get a good one your lucky" scopes. h.h.

Big D, you might take a look at Sightron or Vortex. Both excellent for the money. Also, keep an eye on Natchez, they run Bushnell specials a lot. I bought a couple of 3200 firefly scopes for cheap from them.

Thanks Chico. I get flyers from Natchez all the time. My buddy was looking at an NcStar 3x9x40. A scope I would like to find is an affordable, fixed 6x in silver finish. Burris and Weaver both used to make them, but they don't anymore. I've looked everywhere for one. I think I found a Leupold once, but couldn't afford it.
