There is a pretty good tax credit right now on insulation..

Yeah....$1.46 sq ft for it installed, and has good tax credit...just wondering if anyone ever had it done

Radiant barrier insulation isn't new, I saw a relective bubble wrap type years ago that you stapled up between your roof joists as a supplement to the batts or blow in you already had. I haven't tried Pro Guard personally, but last year I aquired a box of space blankets and spread them out over my attic floor. The blankets weren't taped together, just laid out slightly overlapping. The difference in temperature below the blankets is slight, but noticeable, we don't run the air conditioner during the day unless it gets over 90 now.

Kevin evidently doesn't live with a 60+ woman that has a furnace on 365 days a year. I have to fight to keep it at 78 and listen to how hot that is.
