Considering they're probably the cheapest part of the entire hunt, I'm sure they're worth every penny but I still haven't been able to stomach the price.

no I figured out a long time ago it dont take much to get a turkey in the bag shot, at 10 to 20 yds. good calling with a proper set up is cheap That's kind of what I was thinking! I'm with these guys on this one! I have killed most of my gobblers with a 20 gauge using game loads (you know, the box with a squirrel or rabbit picture on it) . Just call them to within 20 yards and you will be taking home your bird. ;D

Just call them to within 20 yards and you will be taking home your bird. ;D If it was that simple I'd agree. I only shoot 2 shells per year. One to make sure my scope is still on and one at a turkey. Thats only $14 per year. Heck I spend more than that on gas in one day. I setup on a lot of fields when I hunt turkeys and if every bird would come to within 25 yards, I wouldn't buy them either. No matter how good your setup is or how good a caller you are you aren't going to have birds come close everytime. A couple years ago I was in Texas and had a gobbler skirt my setup. He was in a field and could see my decoys but wouldn't come in. My buddy was with me and he ranged the gobbler at 52 yards. I dropped it like he was 20 yards. It's results like that that makes the shells worth the price.

I like a lot of folks have hunted a lot of places, and when you are out of state on a limited time schedule the extra cost is worth it to me to know I can kill them out that far.....just my opinion. I am ordering my loads soon a buddy shoots them and he is good to 60 yards so it is worth it to me.

Absolutely not, but it's ok if others do!! I'm sure it's great. lol, I waited for the Winchester Xtended range to get down to $10 at walmart before I bought it and it's great! I wouldn't pay $35 a box for it though, but that's just me. I'm going to be able to re-use my turkey shot this year.

I'm too cheap to pay that much for over glorified ammo! I believe the correct word is "magnititis" which means some guys think that since it costs so much more so it has got be better than one of those cheap $2.00 turkey shell. h.h.

I looked on Dictionary.com and "magnititis" isn't a word.....it did ask "Did you mean Man tits (in reference)?"....LOL. Have you ever seen the pattern of a Nitro next to a $2 shell? I've shot a lot of turkey loads and the Nitros pattern a heck of a lot better than any shell I've ever shot. I guarantee you the hevi shot hits harder than lead. - A 3" shell will put 170-200 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards. - A 3.5" shell will put 280-320 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards. I'm not here to try to convince you to buy Nitros, just don't think I'm so gullable that I think they are better because they cost more. I'll pay an extra $4.30 for one shot at a turkey. That ain't gonna break my bank account.
