Walmart in Anderson has about 12 boxes of Remington 223 55 grain FMJ's on the shelf for $26/box. Get em before tey are gone again! The rest of the shelf was pretty slim pickins' on any kind of ammo.

I am good to go and rely heavily on the production of the Wright Cartridge Company for ammo....

I found a few 100 rounders of the Federal .223 FMJ for 39.98 at Wally World a month ago, but the best deal I've seen is the Centurion from Aim Surplus at $340.00 per thousand. It's good stuff.

Do any of you have/know anyone that wants to sell a night vision scope?........ Im working on a M1-A and Night vision is the last thing I need to complete it. I'm saving for this one [maybe] for my Evil Black Rifle, or maybe even my M1A, nothing like increasing your shooting options. www.nightvisionmall.com/page/NVM/PROD/WS/D-740-2MS

One thing to consider is that one mounted on a weapon is going to be awkward if you need to walk around in the dark or anything -- it would be difficult to walk around looking through the scope. Unless you are dead set on this one, you might consider goggles or a device that mounts inline with the scope, which would allow you to walk around using it, then look through the scope once you get in position. Something to think about at least.

Been looking around for a couple of years now, something to use in a stationary position, as in a blind, overlooking a predetermined POI. Scrap meat from supermarkets, butcher shops, phone calls from DNR LEO to come pick up road killed deer [all ready got that one confirmed]. Have time now to set this up being retired [read getting older] so walking around isn't in the picture. Have several farms to set up on that have coyotes cruising all the time, all I have to do is tell them I'm going to set up, and away we go. There is some advantage [few] to being on the wrong side of 60. Picked up a road kill a few years back, put it in a cornfield right after dark, went out next day right at sunset to set up, deer already gone! Good NV scope on my M1A might be the ticket for some of those feral hogs down south, know a couple of CO's that might put me on to a place or two if I ever get enough money to finally get that high dollar NV. Brother, those things ain't cheap! Thanks for the suggestions though.

I finally got into the EBR business last fall [only took 30 days to get it] got a DPMS Panther Bull Twenty [heavy, not a long carry firearm] and after some careful handloading, I was able to get 3/8 inch groups at 100 yards using 69gr. SMK bullets. Went to Sierra Game Kings, 65 gr. soft point boat tail and with my new NV scope [went ahead and got it, life is short, just do it] and trying to sight in a NV scope in the daytime is a whole new learning experience, but I was able to squeeze out 1 inch groups after getting a new cheek weld and concentrating on trigger pull better. The new RRA 2 stage match trigger from WOA did the trick, set at 3.5 lbs., but took the springs off the pin and laid them down and now it is at 3 lbs. Have to order some anti-walk pins one of these days as with springs no longer applying pressure on the pins, it kind of wants to "walk" a bit. Lesson from experience, buy what you want even if it takes some more time to get the $$$$$ to do it. Happiness is a tight group, with the capability of laying down a lot of lead in a short time.
Forgot, UPS bringing me an IR Iluminator and mounting device Monday, might need some extra light for those really, really dark nights.
