It was an awesome shot, seemed like it took forever for the bullet to reach the target.

seemed like it took forever for the bullet to reach the target. I didn't watch the vid, but that is *exactly* why I don't like this type of "hunting". There are WAAY too many variables involved with making a killing shot at that range, and for the time that it takes the bullet to travel that distance a LOT can happen- especially with the animal itself..... Put it this way- a shot like that is akin to making a bowshot at a deer at 90-100 yards with one of the newest, fastest bows on the market.......

Quite a shot from what I could see. Not very clear. But definitely a better than average shooter. Marine sniper, Army sniper, Seal sniper, does not matter definitely trained for long long range shooting. Hunting, well he hunted to find the animal that he wanted to take. It is just a matter that he did not have to close the distance down to the average hunters comfort range. You hunt to find the game. You shoot to kill said game. While both are classified as the hunting experience they are only parts of the hunt. ![+1](https://www.ingunowners.com/images/smilies/welcome.gif)

Note that the deer was bedded/unmoving.
That is NOT a shot that you would take on a standing animal... or really even a standing Human in a combat zone.
A Snipe like that, for a sniper that didn't want to be detected, would be taken at some Brass standing for Review... or sitting at a desk.
That deer wan't going to move quickly from its bedded position, and if your optics/range are good enough, well, it won't hear the shot untell the bullet is imbedded in it's skull either.
Not my bag, but still a testament to both being able to ID a bedded deer at 1000+ yds AND get a bullet there.
