I've got a reserve draw on Tuesday and I was just wondering if anyone has hunted it lately and maybe some good spots!

yea hunted there saturday shot 9 birds and they shot 140 total on saturday and monday and tuesday they were in the 80s, and hunted there today and only managed 2, they are starting to get smart and I didnt see the number of birds we seen saturday

Hunted in on sunday with DDragon. Had a good time. Between the 3 of us we shot 3 birds. 2 Woodies and a hen mallard. Lost one of the woodies though :-(.
Not a whole lot of shooting that day. Seemed like all of the birds that were there had been well educated. Hopefully this weather will bring in some new birds.

Well the hunt was today and we had fun. There was some quick shooting right at day break and then the birds seemed to remember where they were and did there best to stay away. Our shooting was terrible, we crippled 2 and lost them in the brush, that really chaps my bum. All said we were our own worst enemy today.

72 partys for 22 blinds today. Is the Kankakee really that good, or is it because it's the remnants of the world famous Grand Kankakee Marsh/Million Acre Marsh and thus a nostalgic hunt? Or, is it overrated? Or, is it because they give you everything you need to hunt, a spot, boat, oars, etc.? Those odds are pretty slim, and I'd personally never try them, so it's just hard for me to believe.  |

That was the first weaken thats was not a pre-draw day so it had a lot of party's it will thin out as it gets colder out. |

I just don't think I'd go there because there would be a strong chance that I'd not get to hunt. I'd rather hit a public river, so I'd get to hunt no matter what. |

I'll get to experience the Kankakee for the first time on 11/11/08 because I got drawn. This has been a goal of mine for more than several years now, so I'm pumped up about getting to hunt this great property.
