Finally capitalized on a six point thanksgiving morning. Didnt have a good feeling about where I was set up that morning but it paid off. My first buck and with a muzzleloader. He ran about 70 yards and piled up. Double lung shot. His right side antler is coming out the side of his head rather than the top. Will post pics soon.

Here he is. My very first buck and second whitetail. Killed a very small doe last year on last day of firearms. One per year so far. Trying to make it two this year during muzzy season, hopefully.

Well that's pretty cool! Congrats! It seems that the harder I try to harvest a deer, the less successful i am. If I just skip out into the woods and enjoy the trees, birds, squirrels etc, the deer seem to blunder into me. Maybe you were just trying too hard.

Way to go lil brother! I'm glad I was able to be there when you got your first buck. I just wish you would've stayed in the tree longer after you shot that way I could've too (lol). You are one up on me so the pressure is on. Hope you get another one during muzzleloader cause I need the meat

Well the smell of jerky is in the air at the house so I'll probably be out in the woods as much as I can to get my hands on some more. Unless someone wants to ship me some for free. ;D

Need help hunting it. I'll volunteer. It really looks like a great place to hunt. Don't give up the next year or two, you'll figure it out.
