Palin Bilked State for Per Diem

When I worked as a contractor at the Pentagon, that was my duty station... I didn't take travel per diem when I was home that night at Alexandria, VA...

If she took per diem for nights she was at home in Wasilla, that's just wrong... I don't care if there is a loophole in Alaska's per diem regs, that sort of thing is taking advantage of a situation at taxpayer expense...

Yes, yes, the DNC has sent a contingent of 30 lawyers to Anchorage to dig through Sarah Palins entire life from the womb to the present, with the express purpose of finding "dirt" on her. It's pretty much SOP for the left when their position policies are full of holes and they start to panic. If they see themselves in danger of losing the fight based on the issues, they resort to "eliminating the problem". Joe Biden would normally be the character assassin of choice for this kind of thing ( he's really good at it, remember Bork, Thomas, etc?), but he has to maintain a certain degree of decorum as the VP pick.

Never mind that Obama has ties to a convicted terrorist which he seeked out, not despite William Ayers felonious past, but because of it, to launch his political career, or the shady real estate deal with a middle easterner with a criminal history. If the Dems wanna start slinging mud, Obama is gonna get awfully dirty here, but they better be careful. I've heard that even some of the groups on the feminist left have begun to protest this witch hunt.

Right is right and wrong is wrong I don't give a flying crap what any one else did or didn't do. Per diem pay is suppose to to supplement a person's regular salary for expenses they incur during travel away from home. The fact you can find some bigger crook doesn't mitgate any wrong doing on a person who abuses the per diem system.

Next time you get a parking ticket try telling the judge how he should be spending his time doing something useful like jailing rapists and murders and let us know how that line of logic works out for ya.

Here is how I personally look at this per diem doo doo. There were times when I got paid to stay home. I could not go anywhere : fishing, hunting. Shopping at Sears was okay. I got paid a set amount for this. They called it per diem. Which means to me that the term per diem means any form of pay other than your normal hourly/weekly salary. Which mean to me that if you can claim it and don't that is your problem, if you can claim it and do then fine. To be totally blunt about it that is a pile of dog excrement and should be placed it the same place that you put it when you clean out your dog pen.

...not to mention that her expenses were 80% LESS than the previous Gov..

So what do ya suppose the chances are of her stopping all this "change", cleaning up Washington, stopping bail outs, and ear marks once she and McBush get their fat butts parked in the White House where they can start playing 100% by the same rules they've used to make this country more socialist today than China or Russia?

What's the chance of McBush playing under the same rules he's played under for decades and where he's supported 90% of what has brought us to war in two countries that is banckrupting the country and now on top of it all they are bailing out wall street fat cats and their own lackeys to the tune of billions.

I'm not real confident of any one who takes travel expense money to sit at home in their own living room on the excuse they are "playing 100% by the rules" exhibiting a real high level of ethics.

It's what you do when you think no one is looking that reveals your true character. Guess what. The rest of the country is looking at Alaska after all.

Jack, you really need to brush up on your political parties and their basic tenets. Democrats - left wing (socialism) Republicans - right wing (capitalism) That way, you'll understand exactly what causes you are supporting.
