McCain has to have the conservative base and I'm guessing that was his thinking with this choice, and it will help there. Obama was a weak choice, (so was McCain) a strong candidate from either party would have this election wrapped up already as it is I wouldn't bet the change in my pocket on who's going to win this one.

I think McCain/Palin is the right choice as of now, but my mind is still open to change.
For the last 4 years about the only thing I can agree with Bush on is the security of our country and even then I don't think it's strong enough.
The economy is in the dumps right now, home values are slumping bad and we are paying more taxes than ever before. My wife and I have had over $20,000.00 deducted from our paychecks SO FAR in 2008 PLUS the SALES TAX, PROPERTY TAX, WHEEL TAX we pay!
Thats too much!

McCain made a good choice, half of the voters are female and think it's about time a woman got an upper level job. Add to that some of the 18 million disgruntled female Hillerites who may defect to vote for Sarah since Obama got the nomination and that's a pretty substantial voting block. Conservatives may shake their heads in wonder, but the fact is that it's the liberal vote that will decide the election this time around, and most female voters are liberals, as are most of the 18-21 year olds.

Camby, Personally I would think you and your wife should be very happy to such well paying jobs. Just wait till Nobama gets in and if you still have a job $20,000 will seem like a bargain.

After reading O.I.'s post, it suddenly occurred to me that Obama has the perfect resume for the head of the U.N. I propose that when this election is over and he loses, he be nominated to the post and we promptly withdraw from that perfectly useless, impotent organization. Hush. Billy Clintoon wants that job...

... I read now where she belonged to a group that advocated Alaskan secession, .... Why don't you talk to someone who was actually a member of AKIP - like me - rather than just believing the KosKidz? AKIP advocates GOVERNING BY THE CONSTITUTION. And ifthe US refuses to do that, then and ONLY then do they advocate the creation of a CONSTITUTIONAL North Pacific Rim Co-prosperity Sphere. I'm in no way a RNC/RINO supporter, but I'm so glad we have a Democrap shill to continue to put down a genuinely strong Female Candidate. So Typical.

I think the reason they picked Palin was because of her inexperience. Even though she does not have much exp compare her to what Obama has and it starts to become real clear how unready he is to lead the greatest FREE country in the world. I think it was possibly the most brilliant vp nominee they could have picked.
