Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
who stand by night in the house of the LORD!
Lift up your hands to the holy place,
and bless the LORD.
May the LORD, maker of heaven and earth,
bless you from Zion.

Focus your attention on God and offer yourself as God's beloved and
servant. This invitation to bless God can mean just that - fix your
heart and mind on God in worship and adoration, offering all you are
and have. In turn, the prayer for God to bless you means asking God
to focus attention on you and meet your needs so that you may be
happy and fulfilled. What a wonderful dialog this mutual blessing is!
