Bill was driving home one afternoon when he had a flat tire right in front of a mental hospital.
He got out his spare and jack and took the wheel cover off of his car, turned it over and began taking off the lug nuts placing them inside the overturned wheel cover so as not to lose them. All the while he was being watched by one of the patients sitting on the porch of the mental facility just rocking away. As Bill pulled the flat tire off of his car he dropped it onto the edge of the wheel cover flipping it up and over causing all the lug nuts to fall down into a sewer grate. As he was contemplating what to do the patient yelled down to him to go ahead and put the spare tire on and remove one lug nut from the other three wheels. That would permit him to get to an auto parts store where he could replace all the lug nuts.
Bill remarked that this was a brilliant idea and asked the man why he was in the mental facility with such good reasoning abilities.
The man replied, "I'm crazy not stupid!"
