Hey gang. This is my first post... ever on any forum. Call it a new trick for an old dog... I've been reluctant to get involved in one of these things in the past, but over the weekend I read a post in the waterfowl section that provided some real value for the future of our sport. Kudos to the individual who brought it to our attention that a politician in northern Indiana is trying to pass legislation to ban hunting in areas of Indiana rivers. Thats valuable information that without forums like this one might have slipped right passed us... Scary!!!
Anyway, I live in Fishers, IN with my Wife and two children. I have been an avid water fowler for the past two and a half decades with the majority of my hunting being done out of a scull boat, which is my means to primitive hunting. The sport of water fowling has completely consumed me as it has a tendency to do with owning and training retrievers year round, collecting decoys, duck and goose calls, owning multiple boats, and belonging to a whole host of dog clubs, gun clubs, and last but not least conservation clubs.
I hale from Wisconsin, and am a deeply rooted Green Bay Packers fan. That being said I am also a third generation Purdue alumni and am currently making tuition payments for our pending fourth generation Boilermaker.
Enough about me... Glad to be on board and look forward to some good conversation and fellowship.

A big WELCOME oarsman.
As you probably already know we have a bunch of died in the wool (Is there any other kind?) waterfowlers on here.
I'm sure that you will fit right in.
Enjoy.. and lease contribute often.

Welcome, Oarsman. You have to get up early in the morning to sneak bad legislation past us. I'm not much of a waterfowler but maybe I'll bump into you in the campfire or archery forums.

Oarsman--great to have you here! What an experience for your first forum--you happened upon the best-run board there is! The people here are like family, and you will soon find yourself a part of that if you contribute often. We all look forward to hearing from you!
And--
