Hey guys:
I just moved to Portage from Aurora, IL, and I absolutely love it here! I can't wait till hunting season starts again. I've only been hunting for a few years (parents and family are huge anti's, so I had to wait till college to start). While in college, I also started the WIU Sportsman Club.
I'm still very new to hunting, and would love to find some hunting buddies that wouldn't mind taking a newbie out with them, or just hanging out would be cool too.
FYI: I'm also into target shooting and motorcycles, and am getting ready to buy my first Harley!

Hey Erick! You came to the right place...welcome, welcome, welcome! Please visit and contribute often! I'm also glad that you are getting a chance to strengthen your skills and experience in hunting. I don't personally hunt (what am I doing here? It's a long story--short story is I fish--more specifically, I lose my boyfriend's tackle  --and I love the people around here!), but I hope that you are able to find a good hunting mentor to help you with this. Welcome to Indiana as well--I've lived here for 10 years and loved it! |

ecaff, They are pulling your leg. OBR has been much argued (some call it debated) on here and other sites ever since they instituted the trial. Everything that can be said has been said a thousand times over, but it is not an off limits topic at any time by any means. We've had some good and funny times with at least one of our members using photos to make up fake magazine covers - at least we think they are fake.  All in good fun, I assure you. I'm over here in Michigan CIty (a lot closer than most of the rest of these yahoos ). I'm a member at the Michigan City Rifle Club. We have 25, 50, 100 and (soon to open) 200yds + Trap & a pistol house. I belong to a muzzleloading group there that meets at 9:00ish on the 1st Sunday of every month. Now that Rangemasters is closed, I don't know of another range in our area except Kingsbury in LaPorte. Drop by on Sunday June 3rd and I'll give you the cooks tour. |
