Hello from Elkhart Co. I have been watching this site for a number of months now and have benefitted from the sage advice. I have two sons (17 and 16) who enjoy shooting. I am not native to the area (transplant from Bay City, MI) and am still getting use to the lack of public land in the northern part of Indiana.
This year will be our first year turkey hunting and am looking forward to it.

BTW - I used to own a VW Thing. Nice vehicle for deer hunting.

I carted home many a deer in the folded down back seats.
