As I'm sure some of you remember reading, I sent my shotgun barrel to Curtis Wilbanks in Georgia to have it back bored and forcing cone lengthened. He told me, before I even sent it that he WOULD have it back to me by April 21. Well it's now May 5 and still no barrel! I borrowed a buddies 11-87 to hunt with last week. I have called him 5 times, never got an answer. Left a voicemail telling him to contact me right away, no answer. Sent him 4 emails, no replies. Avoid this guy at all cost! He had good references, NRA magazine even did an article on him, and great prices. And before anyone says it, yes, he DID receive my barrel because I have the email telling me he received it. I was so excited to hunt with my "new" turkey gun, and even tho I didn't get a shot, he still ruined that for me. Here is his website, AVOID it! www.guncustomizing.com

DUDE that stinks!...... I bet we can your barrel back though.... It will take a little effort but it can get done. That is if he is still alive and fogging the mirror.... Man I hate crap like this.. You got a rep for doing a good job and then turn around and blow it!.... Great business mind at work there!

Funny you should mention if he is still alive, I was thinking the very same thing because he started out great! Emailing frequently until he got the barrel then poof, nothing.

Very tempting, but the cost of gas would make the barrel worth nothing! LoL
I still haven't heard a single word from him. Anyone know what a good plan of action is?

Decatur:
I was doing some snooping and just decided to give this guy a call. He answered the phone and asked him about having a barrel back bored and forcing cone lengthened. He said "No problem", do it all the time.
I asked how long it would take and he stated it would take less than a day !!!
I called using my cell phone so he did not recognize the number if he has caller ID.
You might want to contact again if you have not got your barrel back yet.
