I did a lot of research and decided to go with a Polaris over the Cat. I will be picking up my new blue 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500CC HO from Schnelker Marina in New Haven on Friday after work. Also adding a brush guard, 2500lbs Warn wench, and a 60 inch plow! It was a hard decision but I liked the storage that Polaris had to offer, the price, and the reputation over the Artic Cat. The Polaris dealer offered me close to $1000 less than what Artic Cat would do. Now I can't wait till Friday!

Hey, I bought a 2007 Yahama Grizzly 660 for myself and a 350 Grizzly for my son two weeks ago.
We have been riding quite a bit and having a blast.

Congrats! The 500 has plenty of power. You are going to love the snow blade quick connect & disconnect system that your Polaris has. It takes just a minute or two. You might want to consider adding the rear bumper kit. It has saved me some broken tail light lenses & busted fiberglass more than once.

I've owned a 400 sportsman, 500 sportsman remington edition and currently own a 700 sportsman. There aren't to many bad 4 -wheelers out there, but the polaris has proven itself to me. I think you'll have good luck with it and a lot of fun.

I bought a new Sportsman 500 RSE back in 2000 and still love it to this day. I've never had a lick of trouble from it.

I rolled a Polaris 700 on its side last year while hog hunting in Florida. Im still wearing the scare on my right calf. The way it was laying in the mudhole my friend and I couldnt get it upright. We had to use a rope and his 400 Honda to pull it over. It was a great machine and would go anywhere with the paddle tires on it but man what a gas hog! I put 5 gallons in it every two days and hit reserve twice while on the trail. My friends 400 Honda took 2 gallons the whole week. h.h.
