I am looking to buy a new Artic Cat ATV soon. I am thinking about a 500CC model. However, most of the articles I have been reading and messages on message boards have been negative toward the Cats. Mostly saying too slow and not enough power. What do you guys (the owners) think? I may be leaning more towards a Polaris now.

I own a 2003 AC 500i manual.
How fast do you want to go?
Mine will run over 50mph bone stock. It has enough power to pull whatever i have hooked behind it ..... a 12 foot utility trailer that weighs 1200lbs empty. A 55 gallon yard roller.
I would look at every make/model and see what you like best. Dont discount the Arctic Cat because you heard a friend of a friend of a friend say it was to slow.
