Someone did a count and IF a hunter was lucky enough to get drawn for a few hunts they could possible tally up 69 deer in Indiana. Unheard of since the days of market hunting...
With this liberal amount of tags how many do you think you’ll get this year?

Probably 66.... ;D
I'll be happy with 2 again this year...but seriously considering 3-5 if the opportunity presents itself. Going to give processing my own a shot this year.
2-3 three of those will be donated to charity.
Does anyone know. Do the charities accept home processed deer? Or does it have to be done through an approved butcher/processor? Anyone give discounted rates for donations?

Past few years I've limited myself to 1. For years it was 2 or 3. Now that kids are hunting I'd rather see them do the tagging. Feezer only holds so much.

I would assume that donated meat has to be processed by a regulated butcher. Not sure, ask the people in charge of the donation center.

Last year I shot 3 does with my rifle. There was I think 8 of us in camp. So we party hunt. We all have 1 tag each, and like I shot 3 does, so I put 3 other guys doe tags on them, because one of them put my buck tag on their buck.
This year, I would like to get 2 tags. I'm too late for the doe draws, so I'm stuck with buck only. I really want to get one with my Crossbow this year.

Some of that "party" hunting you mentioned may catch a little heat since it is illegal in Indiana. Do you live here? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Tye mentioned he was from out of state but I forgot where... Tye is in Canada and party hutning is quite legal there.

911 and I are planning to get 1 more deer then the rest of you in the contest. So it looks like a couple of deer should be plenty.

My main goal is to see my son harvest his first deer this year, so I don't care if I shoot any. My season is going to be cut short this year, I am scheduled for hip replacement surgery on November 22....looks like I will be down for about 8 weeks after that.

Me and my family can only go through one big deer in a year's time, but I have a couple of requests from people that would like some deer meat, so I might oblige if I get the chance.

Should get two deer between my father and myself. We have three tags total. We are also aloud to party hunt where we live.(Ontario) We hunt in a close nit group of 5. Everything is split 5 ways.
