Are you dove hunters noticing less doves around now that we have had a couple cold nights?

I don't think its that so much as all the corn coming down. With the overabundance of places to eat I don't think they are as concentrated.

We were hunting silage in an area where no other corn had been cut. I had not seen the field until this past weekend but my Dad said there were a lot more doves before the cold snap Friday night. We still limited out but he thought 80% or so had left.
By the way I traveled down South a couple weekends ago and it is more dry and a lot more of the corn is cut.

A cold snap like last weekend will usually kick the birds more south. They move as the weather turns cooler. h.h.

My son and I had a good shot today. There was a good number of birds in the air till about 10 then things started getting slow, that was OK we were about out of shells. We took a dozen birds and man they were nice size. last weekend they were small.
