just wanting to know if any one has ever shot a dove with a band on it?? i was told that doves have the bands on them just like some ducks. iknow that i have never shot a banded dove & so i was just wanting to know if this was true or not???

Ive shot doves for over 20 years now and Ive never seen a banded dove or heard of one until today. Not saying its not true but Ive never heard this. h.h.

I have never come across a banded dove.....yet. However, I do know Nate from Sugar Ridge has been banding them.

We killed a banded dove last year in Sullivan County. Not sure which one of us shot it as we didn't notice it until we started cleaning them that evening. They do exist, but thats the first one i've seen in14 years of dove hunting.
